OVERVIEW

The M&A Integration Program Manager leads cross-functional efforts to integrate systems, processes, and data resulting from mergers and acquisitions. This role is focused on Program Management – overseeing and managing a portfolio of projects managed by other Project Managers – and also includes some direct Project Management responsibilities. This role helps deliver successful operational mergers & acquisitions by serving as the primary point of contact, ensuring seamless transitions across platforms, working with stakeholders to mitigate operational risks, and effective project planning and execution.

M&A Integration Planning & Execution

  • Defines and documents merger/acquisition integration project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates a portfolio of merger and acquisition projects and tasks with Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to ensure that all merger/acquisition projects and tasks are completed on time and to the scope committed.
  • Maintains and presents merger/acquisition project portfolio updates to relevant stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Develops and manages detailed project plans to include schedules, resource allocation, risk management and communication plans for system integration across multiple departments including but not limited to IT, Data, Programming, Cards & Digital Payments, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Learning & Development, and HR.
  • Manages and ensures projects are delivered on time and to the scope committed.
  • Coordinates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution of integration milestones.
  • Works to Waterfall project plans and timelines, while interfacing with internal teams working in Agile Scrum and Kanban.
  • Leads integration efforts including data migration, system conversions and implementations, process alignment, alignment of regulatory and compliance practices and disclosures, and alignment of products, services, and communications.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Consults with leadership and key stakeholders to clarify and define project requirements.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for integration-related communications.
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings to align goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborates with department project leads to identify integration dependencies and resolve conflicts.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key third-party vendors as stakeholders in project completion.

Risk & Change Management

  • Identifies integration risks and develops mitigation strategies ensuring appropriate escalation as needed.
  • Monitors scope changes and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Maintains documentation of decisions, issues, and resolutions.

Reporting & Communication

  • Monitors and provides regular status updates to stakeholders at levels.
  • Prepares dashboards and reports on integration progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Supports post-project reviews and lessons learned documentation.
  • Works closely with the Marketing team to ensure a strong member communication plan is built and executed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years’ project management experience
  • Experience in systems integration with Jack Henry’s Symitar system preferred
  • Experience in merger-related initiatives such as deconversion, onboarding and data reconciliation preferred.
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Agile CSM certification preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership & organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with credit union or financial services operations preferred.

Pay Range

USD $102,500.00 - USD $153,900.00 /Yr.
